SHOULD YOUR COMPANY BE PROVIDING FREE GROUP BENEFITS?

Participate In Our Poll And Win R2,500

Companies are banging on about “Employee Wellness”. Are our employees happy? Are our employees healthy and working towards becoming wealthy? Nowadays it’s becoming increasingly important for employers to offer value over and above providing a pay cheque, isn’t it?

Let’s forget about the free Friday afternoon Yoga sessions and the new coffee machine in the foyer.

How about some real value add? Don’t you think your company should be providing FREE group benefits? How lekker would it be to have life cover, critical illness, disability and income protection cover paid for in full by your company? And let’s throw in a 100% medical aid contribution for good measure.

Participate in our latest Poll and stand a chance of winning R2,500.

Congratulations to Leslie Louw who walked away with the money from our last Poll.

  1. I just think that it is imperative for the employers to provide to their employees the necessary benefits like Life Cover, Disability Cover, Medical Aid and Funeral Cover. Surely the employees ‘s mood within the organisation will be stable, and the employees would be prepared to be the Ambassadors of the organisation in terms of selling the company name and marketing the company products, which in turn might result in the company being rated as one of the Employers of Choice.

    • Hi Brian,

An employer who provides benefits shows that the employer feels they have a moral obligation to their staff.
Yes, these costs are tax deductible for the employer but they still need the cash in the first place to pay for them.
However, many employers will agree – not all employees appreciate the benefits.

  2. Good day hope you all as a Happy team are excellent!!!.1st of all my comment is plain and simple instead of being attacked for diong 1stupid mistake u gets to be known by that or reminded but to be loyal on time honest reliable you dont get known or be reminded by that.employers forgets the main and important thing in a bussiness for succeeding gratitude and acknowledging their employees.not even a recognition or thank you at times because their minds are getting greedy and more greedy.i vote 200%for workers to get all that benefeceries that is marked out to us as workes as a symbol of appreciation and regocnition.
    Thank you all

  3. I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE OUT FUNERALCOVER FOR MY 81 YEAR OLD MOTHER AND WAS WONDERING WHICH INSURERS IF ANY WOULD COVER HER WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE COVERED ON OUR CURRENT POLICY AND WE ONLY RECENTLY DISCOVERED THAT SHE WAS NEVER ADDED TO THE POLICY AND MOST OF THEM WOULD NOT INSURE HER NOW
